The West Midlands takes the lead in new pan-European ICT Working Group

AWM’s ICT Cluster, working with West Midlands in Europe, is taking a lead role in the establishment of the new ICT Working Group.

Established under ERRIN (European Regions Research & Innovation Network), this Working Group currently involves representatives from 22 regions across Europe. Objectives include: increasing funding share/project development; increasing the competitiveness of participating regions; connecting regional ICT clusters; linking ICT into other sectors and increasing ICT uptake in private and public sector. The inaugural meeting took place in Brussels on 12 July 2007. Recent activities have included: CIP ICT PSP seminar market place, ICT workshop (covering the ICT security call), Technology platforms seminar and an FP7 ICT 2008 info day.
