Mission:
To assist the Cluster Opportunity Group in developing strategic policies and actions, and in partnership with other agencies, to enhance, develop and sustain regional ICT businesses through the application and exploitation of innovative systems, products and services, enabling businesses to invest, grow and compete.
Purpose to:
- ascertain the profile, current level of activity and commitment to innovation within the cluster and identify issues hindering or preventing the adoption of innovation across the region.
- identify effective methods of engagement, encouragement and the means of how to expand the number of businesses committed to embrace innovation in all areas of the business activity.
- provide leadership and direction on behalf of the cluster and develop a coherent programme of complimentary strategies with regional and national partners and stakeholder organisations.
- disseminate knowledge of best practice within and across employer, partner and stakeholder organisations.
- recommend strategic priorities and actions, both to AWM and other agencies, which will positively impact upon the development and sustainability of the cluster or its constituent sub-clusters.
- commission research to match the needs of the cluster with provision of resources across the region.
